On Day 2, Saturday 17th June, riders travel from Swansea to Rodney Parade (70 miles).
Dragons CEO Stuart Davies said:
"We were delighted with what the Dragons Charity Bike Ride achieved in the summer. We were able to raise a significant amount of money for St David’s Hospice Care while bringing together rugby and non-rugby fans for a really enjoyable weekend of sporting and social activity."
Former Newport RFC and Newport Gwent Dragons Captain Jason Forster, who took part in the 2016 Ride, added:
"All riders really enjoyed the experience of doing the ride over two days in the summer. The overnight stop made for a really sociable occasion. We reflected on a hard day in the saddle while looking ahead to the challenge of the second day of riding."
Friends and family are encouraged to welcome riders back to Rodney Parade at the end of the ride on Saturday 17th June. The ‘Party at the Parade’ event will host a presentation, music, food and drink.
To enter the Dragons Charity Bike Ride 2017 an £85 registration fee is payable to cover costs. All riders receive a special edition rider jersey ahead of the event. A minimum sponsorship of £250 per entrant is requested, with all proceed going directly to St David’s Hospice Care.
