Profile

Jack Dixon became the youngest player to make a Welsh regional rugby appearance when he came off the bench in the LV= Cup win away at London Wasps in October 2011 at just 16 years 313 days. He broke the record set by Hallam Amos 33 minutes earlier when he started the game.

Dixon went on to make two further substitute appearances for the Dragons during the 2011/2012 season and was selected for the Wales Under 20 squad for the end of season Junior World Championships in South Africa, skipping ahead by an age grade as he still qualified for the Under 18s.

Jack became the youngest player to appear in that tournament when he started the opening group game against Fiji. Jack also started in the side that beat the Baby Blacks 9-6 in the pool stages – the first ever defeat New Zealand had suffered in the 4 years of the competition.   Wales went on to finish 3rd in the tournament, their highest ever placing.

Most recently Dixon was named in Gatland's extended 2015 Rugby World Cup squad.
